The Gender and Identity Factors Platform (GIFP) will soon be launching the Community of Practice for Gender and Identity Factors in Counter-Terrorism and Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (CT/PCVE). The inaugural Community of Practice will gather relevant stakeholders from the governments of various Member States to facilitate learning specific to gender and intersectionality, while bolstering the sharing of lessons, promising practices, and multistakeholder coordination and collaboration, within the gender and CT/PCVE sphere.

Through virtual events, a panel discussion, and online exchanges via a private space reserved for Community of Practice members, this Community of Practice will help pave the way for more effective, inclusive, gender-responsive, human rights-based and sustainable policies and programmes within CT/PCVE.

Kindly note that for this initial Community of Practice, participation will be reserved for governmental representatives to facilitate the sharing of practices and policies. The GIFP team recognises the invaluable expertise and perspectives that civil society brings to discussions on gender and CT/PCVE and is working to launch another community of practice that will bring together different interest groups. Please stay tuned for details as we work to expand participation in the months ahead.

More information on accessing the Community of Practice for Government representatives will follow next week.
